Program Objectives

Provide a service to collect, transport, and dispose of spent solvent, minimizing the generator's environmental liability.

Establish the highest management standards for such operations, going well beyond existing Federal and State regulations.

Educate the commercial and municipal sectors of our mutual environmental responsibilities and liabilities.

Accomplish these objectives in a cost-effective manner.

Guidlines

A Service Agreement is completed and all EPA information is collected and a service interval is established.

Universal provides a parts washer and 142HT Solvent to clean metal parts.

The customer's waste stream is characterized by an EPA-approved laboratory.

Upon completion of the service interval, Universal will ensure the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, LDR Notice and Waste Labels are filled out entirely.  All corresponding copies will be left for customer's files.

Universal will replenish the solvent and transport the spent solvent to an EPA-approved T/S/D and complete destruction.

After the T/S/D disposes of the product, the customer will receive the completed original Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, a Certificate of Destruction, and a Certificate of Profile.
